Prelude
This is one of the first songs to kick off Scobiphonic, so I'm backtracking the catalog to add lyric videos for all the oldies.
I wrote this song back during the lockdown days. Since then half the world seems to now work in delivery services. It's an endless job without much thanks or time to piss away.
Dedicated To
Delivery drivers and warehouse workers everywhere
Imagine being monitored in the workplace by high-tech gadgets and robotic managers. Neither give a hoot about your well-being, as only your productivity pace matters.
Everyone loves convenience for themselves, but it usually comes at a cost to someone.
Pay attention to the concerns of workers and support them when you can for more humane working conditions and decent wages.
Research & Support
Fighting for workers’ rights is always an uphill battle. There are victories and setbacks. There is infighting over leadership and money issues.
None of these problems should take away from the ultimate goal of workplace improvements.
If interested, get up to speed on current matters and action needed to overcome the blatant effort to thwart organizing efforts and treat workers as valuable partners.
Postscript
