I've followed Joe Biden for the last 40 years. He's one of those guys who talks a good game, but never really does anything substantial for the working class. He's a political character - Scranton Joe, Amtrak Joe - made meaningless by his actions over past decades. His rise to the presidency was more a matter of political machine maneuvering over merit.
Song Background:
I can't stand phoniness or smugness; Joe Biden never runs out of either one. His 'Regular Guy' schtick is sickening when measured against his voting record. His entire career is a monument to deception over deliverance. He coddles to the elitists and still pretends to be a friend of the working man. Not even dementia can save him from his duplicitous past. Real regular Joes deserve better.
Shout Out:
Politicians beat up the working class at every opportunity and still ask them for a loyalty vote to gain crumbs. There ain't nothing left to vote for anymore. It's time for alternatives. Lyrics:
Joe Biden is a Democrat Straight outta Delaware He backed the banks and credit cards And got himself somewhere He tried to play a major role But was never the right guy 'Cause every time he voted Old Joe exposed his lies What can you do with mediocrity When a man's got no mettle After 40 years of politics And leaving regular Joes to settle And leaving regular Joes to settle Now he's old and too far gone To do anything worthwhile While workers wait for promises Cup of Joe lives in style Joe Biden is the President What else can you say? He hoped to lead the nation But he just fades away ... Away, ay, ay He just fades away He's got nothing to say As the poor suffer day to day What can you do with mediocrity When a man's got no mettle After 40 years of politics And leaving regular Joes to settle And leaving regular Joes to settle Joe Biden is the President What else can you say?

It’s been a slow, unsteady process to work out the technical difficulties of home recording, but I’m finally in a good groove. To offset the sluggish output, I’m shooting for a new song each week in June.
If you like the songs and/or essays, please help me distribute them by sharing and following me on Twitter and Substack. I appreciate your time, support and aid in this elderly endeavor.
