One advantage of being older is having a long view of the world. Problems of the past help to digest the high drama of the present. Realizing the grit and resolve of people to handle tough circumstances gives confidence to deal with the prevailing manifestation.
Song Background:
After nearly two years of lockdowns and restricted movement, nothing seems normal. All of us have had to adapt to different conditions and make hard decisions. Covid is a challenge, not a lifestyle. How we recover is crucial to our character and well-being.
[Note: Singing is still foreign to me, so this feels more like a poem.]
Shout Out:
The Covid crisis revealed the true nature of corporate control of the narrative. It is not the American Way to swallow things whole without a rebuttal. We argue about everything. It's not always easy to go against the mainstream tide and remain steadfast.
My appreciation goes out to the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (@Covid19Critical) for their prevention and treatment protocols and their exceptional efforts to save lives.

A - E - G - D [Verse] Bsus2 - G (3rd) - Dsus4 - D [Chorus] Lyrics: This is my Covid recovery Not sure just what I see The world is different than it used to be What's wrong with my country? Is this the end of democracy? When dissent is no longer free This is my Covid resiliency Gotta question all the monopolies There's too much money for the powers that be It's time for common decency Who's in control and what is true? It feels like a corporate coup This is my Covid mentality I take care of my longevity I can't depend on what governments say Because corruption always pays Is this the end of democracy? When dissent is no longer free This is my Covid recovery Not sure just what I see The world is different than it used to be What's wrong with my country?
